(26 April, 2015, Hong Kong) Landing International Development Limited (“Landing International” or the “Company”) (HKEx Code: 00582) announces that Mr. Yang Zhihui, Chairman of the Company, met Mr. Choi Kyung Hwan, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance of South Korea, in the Company’s Myth-History Park integrated resort project in Jeju on 24 April. Mr. Choi applauded the project and believed that the Myth-History Park will enhance the internationalization of tourism in Jeju.

During his visit in the Myth-History Park, Mr. Choi said, “Tourism is a key element of South Korea's economic development. As the number of visitors from China has been surging in recent years, world-class tourism infrastructure highly attractive to tourists is crucial in strengthening the competitiveness of tourism in South Korea. The government pledged to expand Jeju International Airport and establish a large-scale duty free shop in the downtown area, and so it is necessary to accelerate the development of the integrated resort project. The Myth-History Park project jointly developed by Landing International and Genting Singapore is perfectly positioned to bring comprehensive world-class tourist facilities to Jeju.”

While President Park Geun-hye is currently on a visit to China and South America, Mr. Choi’s visit to the Company’s Myth-History Park proves the government’s support for the project. Mr. Choi highlighted, “Tourists are the key to the development of South Korea’s tourism. There is a huge potential of the Chinese tourists market leveraging the proximity, which only takes a one-hour flight, between major cities in northern China, such as Beijing and Shanghai, and South Korea.”

Mr. Yang Zhihui, Chairman of Landing International, said, “We are honoured to have Acting Prime Minister Mr. Choi visit our flagship Myth-History Park integrated resort project in Jeju and his compliments to the project. With the support and trust from the government, we will develop the Myth-History Park integrated resort into a tourist paradise to contribute to the internationalization of tourism in Jeju.”

As a world-class tourism destination, the Myth-History Park integrated resort project will house Jeju’s largest family theme park and adventure waterpark, as well as one of Korea’s most exciting themed retail and food complexes. It will also comprise premium hotels, luxury villas, conferencing and exhibition facilities as well as gaming and shopping facilities. A groundbreaking ceremony attended by approximately 500 guests was held on 12 February 2015 in Jeju to celebrate the commencement of the construction work. The project is scheduled to be opened for business in phases from 2017 to early 2019.
