Landing Casino Achieves Top Ranking in Anti-Money Laundering Assessment in 2015 Representing a Leap from Ranking 10th in 2014

(18 January 2016, Hong Kong) Landing International Development Limited (“Landing International” or the “Company”, HKEx Code: 00582) is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned Landing Casino, located at the five-star Hyatt Regency Jeju Hotel in Korea, achieved top ranking among 17 casinos in Korea with ‘Excellent’ grade in 2015 in the Anti-Money Laundering Assessment conducted by the Financial Services Commission in Korea, representing a leap from ranking 10th in 2014 since the Company’s acquisition of the casino in April 2014.

The Anti-Money Laundering Assessment was established in 2007 by the Financial Intelligence Unit, a complex administrative agency under the Financial Services Commission in Korea, with an aim of promoting appropriate settlement and implementation of anti-money laundering system and preventing international terrorists’ financing by objectively assessing the implementation of anti-money laundering system among financial institutions in Korea. In 2015, assessment targets included domestic and foreign securities companies, insurance companies, credit card companies and credit-specialized financial companies, etc., while casino businesses were included as assessment targets since 2014. In 2015, Korea assumed the position of President of Financial Action Task Force, an affiliated agency of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (“OECD”), to reinforce anti-money laundering in Korea. In addition, the Jeju government has established the Casino Regulations Division and recently announced revision of relevant ordinances and rules, in an effort to bring the casino industry in Jeju to an advanced level.

Located in the five-star Hyatt Regency Jeju Hotel, Landing Casino is pursuant to one of the eight gaming licenses in Jeju under the Tourism Promotion Act. It currently has 26 Baccarat tables, 1 Blackjack table, 1 Tai Sai table, 1 Roulette table and 16 slot machines.
