Jeju Shinhwa World’s Clubhouse Restaurant Granted Hygiene Certificate with “Outstanding (★★★)” Rating

02 Nov 2017

(2 November 2017, Hong Kong) Jeju Shinhwa World’s Clubhouse Restaurant is rated “Outstanding (★★★)” in the “hygiene rating scheme for restaurants” conducted by Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. It is the first restaurant on Jeju Island to receive this.

The “hygiene rating scheme for restaurants” aimed improving restaurants’ hygiene standard nationwide and at developing a culture of safe food and beverage service in Korea. Since May 2017, the country’s ministry of food and drug safety has appointed the Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Services to conduct rigorous on-site inspections and evaluations of restaurants. The restaurants’ hygiene standards are rated by a three-tier ranking system that consist of “Outstanding (★★★)”, “Good (★★)” and “Fair (★)”.

Jeju Shinhwa World’s F&B team said, “We are honored to be the first restaurant in Jeju to receive the ‘Outstanding (★★★)’ rating. It is a testament to our team’s efforts. To do our best to enable our customers to enjoy premium food and services safely, we have established a comprehensive hygiene management system to ensure food safety. We will continue to strike a chord in customers who appreciate food hygiene and culinary skills of the highest standards.”

Nick Kim, Head Chef of Korean cuisine, and Alan Chan, Head Chef of Chinese cuisine at Jeju Shinhwa World receive the highest hygiene rating “Outstanding (êêê)” from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in Korea.
